Headlights

Hey guys I remember reading on here about the Sylvania Silverstar headlights and how they were supposed to be the best and I was going to get them. Well I remember someone said the number was 9007 but I saw a 99 Dodge Ram with those lights in them but they were 9004. So what do I need for my truck?

Re:Headlights

The 9007's are for the sport, which has 2 bulbs in the headlights....check your manual.....It'll say 9004 if you truck is a non-sport Dodge.

Re:Headlights

again, if your truck is a non-sport - you need the 9004 bulbs....

Re:Headlights

They are supposed to be.....

If there is a place on the box that says they are DOT approved you may want to keep that in case the fuzz pulls you over....

Some people have converted to the sport headlight setup as it is somewhat brighter.....involves getting new lenses, installing heavier wiring and adding a relay on each side I believe.

Re:Headlights

Cumminsdude,
Happy b-day! As far as the lights go DR. Evil is right on. I just ordered them a few weeks back(9004) and they are a huge difference. Not nearly as good as HID but for fifty bucks they’re huge improvement over stock.

Re:Headlights

I have the Sylvanias also. THey are much "whiter" than stock.

If you are coming to Canada, go to Canadian Tire where you will be able to buy them for about $24 CND.
