If the Summit pump is regulated to 14 psi I say dump the carter and the stock banjo bolt. I'm installing a walbro this weekend and I'm going to leave the carter on the engine, just by passing it. Your stock pump is still engine mounted not the in tank kind right?

I'd keep the stock pump just in case of an emergency and if you need SOMETHING to pump fuel. Not to say you'll ever use it again but it's a good piece of mind knowing it's still there if it's still working ok. Better a bad spare than NO spare at all.

what bout running both pumps? or will not using the factory pump and leaving it in place and running fuel through it cause too much of a restriction?
