What happens when , delevery valve is put in upside down & engine started .

What happens when , delevery valve is put in upside down & engine started .

So if when the delivery valve is put in wrong [ during timing change ] then started , engine died .
So what brakes inside , and what is the fix ?

Well had this same problem someone did it for me...and yes it jammed the plungers inside the pump and seized it up.... Had to have Columbus Diesel Supply Go in and reassemble and recalibrate the pump cost 450 bucks but my buddy knew a guy that worked there and got a discount..? i was told it would have cost around 800 bucks so yea ??? hope this helps?
