if your timing isnt advanceing due to vp going south that will cauz this too.u live in warm climate soo i dont think the cold is effecting it.mine was at its loudest just before the vp got toasted.

24V's make alot of racket and they takes some getting used to before you can hear something out of the norm in them.
Before my VP went south I was running an edge EZ and it would make a cyclical rising/falling rattle when going 65-70 down the highway under light loads and about 25-35% throttle. Very weird racket to say the least. I think what happened was the timing portion of my VP failed to the far advanced side and then the EZ threw more timing at it causing a lot of timing advance. Boy would she run like that though!!! I had to put a Comp on it after the VP got replaced to get to the same power level where it would just barely slip the clutch.
