Extended Crank????

Extended Crank????
Hey, it has happened intermittently with no rhyme or reason. Occasionally when I start the truck it seems to crank for 5 seconds or so. normally it's a :crank: :crank: start. When it occurs it's a :crank: :crank::crank: :crank::crank: :crank::crank: :crank: start. I know the batteries are testing out ok which sometimes could be an issue of an extended crank. Truck seems to run with no problem.
Vehicle is a 2005 CTD with 56,000 miles on her. Smarty Jr, stacks, intake.
Also, this occurred after I installed stacks did an oil change and replaced fuel filter. It's been about 900 miles since I did all that and about 400 after the servicing it occurred.
Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
Chris

I have the same problem with mine every once in awhile, it tends to run fine after it does start, but she definately takes awhile sometimes...it drives me crazy. I changed my 2 micron filter on my truck and i thought that helped but 2 weeks later it did it again. Then i thought my lift pump was failing because of my Smarty but it seems to run normal according to my fuel pres. guage. So makes you wonder alright if something serious is slowly happening to the truck, who knows....

why wouldn't dodge do anything about it? if you're still under warranty, you can have them check your injectors, and see if they're leaking down.

I believe dodge would have to do something about it, if you are still under warranty...but getting them to do it is another story. thats kinda why I am glad I am not under warranty, I know I have to pay, but if I need it done, it gets done (of course I dont take it to dodge).
