To weld up the pipe? Nope.
I had a clamp together kit, welded it all up, no more leaks
Just keep your wirespeed up sometimes its a big gap to fill(if you crush bent the pipes together before)

It depends on your experience level. If you are new you might have problems burning through. An experienced welder can make it look like child’s play, however
If you are just learning get your self some scrap pieces and give it a try before you weld on your CTD.

It's a little tricky because of the position and the thin metal. Practice on a scrap piece (I had five feet of extra pipe because I ran it out the side). And do it off the truck if posible so you're not doing it in an impossible position. I did mine with stick so it was extra hard but a wire feed would be very nice. I just tacked it together as much as I could and did the rest in the garage. Then welded the new mounts with the pipe on the truck.
If you are doing a big exhaust mod definately consider running it out the side instaed of out the back. It sounds better and is five feet shorter. Less crowded near the spare and room for an air tank near the fuel tank. Very good mod!
