Dim headlight connection / sport light?
When I bought my '98 12 valve the right headlight was noticeably dim; figure it was just a bad bulb - put a new bulb in and did not solve the problem.
I ended up just going with a relay / direct wire for the standard single bulb headlights and only needed to use driver side factory socket as the trigger for both headlights.
NOW:
Want to upgrade to the sport lights and use the harness from suvlights.com.
- Does this wire harness require using both the driver & passenger side sockets as triggers for the relays are just one like what I have now?
- If the sport harness needs to use both I assume my problem with the passenger side might be ok for just 'triggering' the relay or maybe not.
- If needed and still a problem what are suggestions to track down the connection/dim bulb problem problem?
Obviously wiring is not my expertise

the suvlights harness is actually two pieces. one for dr side, one for pass side. each side runs to the respective battery, and is also triggered by the respective stock socket. i doubt you will have a dim light issue after this. all the power is direct from the battery via the relays. although, i had one side dim on mine, but it was simply a poor connection to the battery terminal.
