Cummins Air compressor questions

Im wondering how many CFM the air compressors put out that mount where the vacuum pump is on some of the commercial trucks for air brakes and stuff?

I believe the cfms are quite high, but even if you get rid of the vacuum pump the compressor doesn't have enough room to fit in a Dodge application.

over 13 cu/ft/min I think. That number sticks in my head for some reason, but is not garenteed to be accurate.

Never tried it personally but several people on TDR who have said the wheelwell is in the way.
You might be thinking of a compressor that runs off the alternator pulley.

I'm almost positive Haulin has one that runs off the alternator pulley via a belt.
Can't remember the name of the outfit that sells this setup but it's cheaper than the Cummins compressor plus you don't have to hassle with a new vacuum source.

the only problem with that is the york type compressors don't put out near as many CFM as I need. I need about 15 CFM and the cummins ones do just that. I am going to be using my air system for a mobile bedliner spray compressor. amongst other things

The main issue I see with it is you have to mount the power steering an vac pump somewhere. The compressor takes their mounting pad.

yea I saw that one, can't afford a 10K compressor. for that much I could buy an enclosed trailer with a compressor and generator with enough room to put all my gear in haha
