My cruize control has always worked. when I did the 6 speed swap and started getting my speedo signal from the ABS sensor the cruize seemed to work even better, more smoothly.
My friend and I both drove our trucks to Ogden for the dyno, so I put a CB radio in my truck to make the trip less boring.
every time I "key the mike" my cruize control goes nuts, the truck starts surging and gaining speed.
Anyone know whats up with that?

 

sounds like you need to get a filter for CB from radio shack!

 

how much power you running with that cb? Ive known people that can drive speakers from 500yards with the amount their using. I doubt a moble one could do that but if its runing more than usual it may.

 

I'd first try moving the coax, or the radio.

It sounds like it's running close to the circuitry for the cruise.

Also, where are you getting power for the CB from?

If you are tapped into the same circuit the cruise is on,
the power drain caused by the CB could be messing with something.

Best place to get power from is directly from the battery.
You avoid inducing noise into the CB, or the CB putting noise, or a drain on an already taxed circuit.

I think the coax is OK but the power source may be my problem, I used a temporary Cigarette lighter plug to get me by.
It just kind of freaked me out, Key up and start acclerating and bucking

I belive you didn't have a good ground. 11 meters or 27 mhz is the dirtiest feq that's in the spectrum. I will get into everything. Just make sure it has a very good ground and like someone said tap power from the Batt. Make sure your antenna has a real good ground also. Unless you have a mag mount. There isn't much you can do with those. Oh yeah don't coyle the coax it will cause a mgnetic force field to set up causing problems. You can coyle it then using tape or wire ties flatten it out and tape or wire tie so it isn't in a coyle.
