Broken exhuast manifold stud

Okay guys in need of some help here. I was putting in some guages today. 3 on the dash, and one on the column, got all the wiring and tubing in and done for the pyro/boost/trans temp on the dash. So thats in and done and I finished off the boost bolt line. Also got all the lighting done aswell.

And so I was going to call it quits but then figured I dont need to use the truck tomorrow so I might aswell pull the exhuast manifold and drill and tap it. I didnt want to do it while the turbo was on so decided to pull the manifold instead.

I got every single darn bolt off of that header, got through 3 of the turbo nuts no problems. Hit the last turbo nut and just like all the rest needed to be broken a bit to get it loose. I break it, spins nice for a turn then I break it again and SNAP the bolt comes off with half the stud... I love it....

Anyways just wondering about my options. Not too stress about it, must be able to either get a new stud for it or even somehow get that stud out and put a bolt, washer, nut in???? Anyone got some advice thats alot.

At least you can fix it on the bench instead of under the hood!

Penetrating oil will help loosen the stud; if the broken remnant is too short to turn out, drill for an easy-out or similiar (broaching with a Torx drive works well).
Otherwise, you can either drill & tap for a new stud or drill & weld for a headless bolt.

Update, was able to finally get the manifold off this morning. There was plenty of the stud left to get ahold of. So I heated it up with the torch for a minute of too and between vice grips and the bench vice I got the broken stud out. And the easiest fix was to just use a proper bolt back up into the turbo.

Worked quick, install was 10x faster the taking it out but everythings back together and running good.
