Balanced Driveshaft..........no more vibration
Holy Buckets Batman, did this make a difference or what! I have been getting this vibration at most speeds, worse at highway, I thought I changed everything, but I had another u joint go bad, so I was going to replace them, when I thought: maybe I should get it checked for straightness and balance.
ANYONE who has some vibration that has tried everything( tires, rims, bearings, u joines, carrier bearing, etc) get your driveshft balanced and checked for straightness. mine was straight, but was out of balance.
This made my truck feel like new. I thought I was going to have to live with the vibration. $200 got me both pieces of the shaft balanced and checked for straightness, and 3 new ujoints installed. Well worth it.
I hope this helps you.

I had a light constant vibration, more noticeable at higher Highway speeds. The seatbacks, shifter, and dash would vibrate. Still some bumps and vibes, but much less. (Some may just be from the 234,000miles on the truck.)
