Into the turbo, through the intercooler (located up behind the grill), into the motor, and out the exhaust.

the turbo has 3 inlet/outlet what do those do? obviously 1 is intake, and 1 is exhaust.

one is intake side in, intake side out, and then exhaust in and exhaust out.

the exhaust coming out spins the turbo, it is broken down into two sides.

The exhaust side is the waterwheel to the mill. Exhaust out through the turbine side to spin the shaft and then out through the tail pipe. Center section of turbo with oil in and bearings etc. Compressor side of turbocharger has fresh air intake to center of the compressor wheel, air is spun out to the outside of the compressor housing and high velocity (air slows down to create pressure) and then out to the intercooler for cooling from compression. From intercooler to intake manifold of engine.

Depending on the fuel demand of the engine, the turbocharger will spin at different speeds (up to 100,000 rpm) to provide boost pressure for the intake manifold. No load on the engine, the turbo provides little or no boost unlike a belt or gear drive supercharger.
