I just had an Airdog 150 installed & I could hear it when I was idling. Is it supposed to be that loud?

 

Yes, you will hear it. It's a much more robust pump system than the factory jobber. The sound is normal.

I just bought a truck that had one already installed and it was quite loud... turned out it was mounted too high on the frame and was vibrating against the bottom of the cab. I lowered it down and sounds much quieter now.

 

The newer ones seem to be louder than the older ones, I can't here ine at all at idle sitting in the cab.
