Air Suspension
Who all has air bags for your suspension. I would like to be able to drop my truck out from under a gooseneck trailer and lift it back in. Would it be cheap and feasable to get some airbags from a semi-truck wrecking yard?
i was looking for the same kind of thing and i found that it would be easier just to buy a air bag set made for the truck rather then trying to retro fit a set....but then i went with the normal lift so i cant fit a regular gooseneck anyway
DuallyDog, You can look up Firestone, Air Lift and many others manufactors that provide very nice bolt in air bag systems for our trucks. Most of these systems retain the factory leaf springs, If you are looking to go to a full air suspension on the rear I'm not up to date on who makes them. As for droping the truck from your trailer and picking your trailer up I would recomend install a system with an air tenk vs just using the compressor but either will work.
For the most reading you can do a search on this forum and find a tremendous amount of reading on rear and front air bag systems other members are using.
