is an aftermarket exhaust manifold worth the loss of egt's it will give with a slightly modified truck or is it not worth it? i see there are guys with pretty modified trucks that dont run them. so is it worth it? thanks

From what I have read, they help a little (50-100*) depending on the case. Most of the time they're changed out to prevent cracking the stock exhaust manifold. They do help with turbo spool up, but I'm assuming so would a good port job on the stocker. Also there was some talk going on here about putting a Gen2 exhaust manifold on for sound & better spool.

i dont mind the sound of the 3rd gen. i have been thinking about porting my stocker as well. i did it on my first gen and it made a huge difference.
so heres the question has anyone ported their 3rd gen manifold? if not i may be the first to do so. thanks
