48RE time for rebuild or replacement
I think it's getting close to time to rebuild and upgrade my 48RE Tran. It is progressively getting worse..."Hunting, slipping, etc... My question to all of you is does anyone know of some reliable trustworthy tran shops up in the Seattle, Wa. area? I am willing to go as far north as Snohomish our South to Puyallup if need be.
I sure would like a Georend or ATs but not sure if I want to drop the coin on that. Of course I don't want to blow $3500 bucks on a rebuild when just a bit more might get me something that would last. If I could find a decent shop I could trust with the install and would honor an ATS or Georend warranty I may just step up and do it. If I thought the tranny would get me down to Colorado I would just take a summer vacation and visit ATS....
I have done my research, so I know what I want and what I want to accomplish with a parts list, I just really don't know of a good shop in the area.
Any positive thoughts much appreciated.
