'06 fuel mileage at 20k miles
Stock, 6spd, long bed 4x4. About 50% of the time the truck tows a 24' enclosed trailer weighing 4500lbs empty and up to 10000lbs full. Driving is urban mostly, around the Phoenix, Arizona area. Best mpg, 16.7 driving empty on the hiway to Los Angeles at 70mph. Worst mpg, 10 pulling trailer on the hiway in a strong head-wind.
First 10k miles = 14.1 mpg avg. Second 10K miles = 14 mpg. Second 10k miles had a couple hiway trips with the trailer fully loaded.
I had hoped the towing hiway mileage would be better than only 10mpg, but I've not been able to tow yet without a strong wind and/or steep mountain grades. I'm happy with the in town mileage though.
The truck has had the long-start and white smoke reflashes with no effect on power or mileage. Strangely enough, it's also had the steering box replaced already.
So far I'm pretty happy with the performance of the truck.
