$20k for 24v 3500 4x4 quad in california??

my dad who lives in Modesto California and can travel anywhere in cal and surrounding states, has a 97 3500 CC 2WD CTD is looking for a 3500 4x4 quad auto hopefully under 100k miles he has up to $20,000 to spend but if less would be nice so he can address the trans for pulling and bomb it a little. any help anyone could give me? I am currently looking on ebay and traderonline ect. also if it is near me in Madison Wisconsin area that might be alright as I could get the truck to him.
Any ideas advice is greatly appreciated.

You can try autotrader.com. I'm not sure how well it works outta texas, but I guess give it a try.

Yeah, autotrader.com is where I found mine. I spent a month buying every Truck Trader and Tradin' Times magazine that came out! I found mine down in Iowa, and there were quite a few down there for sale at the time, for a lot less than up here!

watch out for the texas trucks they do have annual floods and for some reason that is a gathering ground for insurance buy backs

Really?
Cause they sure tout the TX trucks as being rust free, must be all the silt.
