Any mileage reports on 2011's
#2
fuel mileage is aweful. I have been plowing a lot and I seem to get between 7 and 8.5 mpg. pulling my trailer at 13k I am seeing 10. and driving empty it is seeing 14 max but only briefly. when it is really cold this thing is constantly regenerating. I believe it is dumping fuel the minute you start it up as it sounds like a jet engine. so far in 2,000 miles I have gone through 6 gals of def. the mileage computer is pretty close as I check it with hand calc. I know plowing involves low speed and idling but I can't say I'm too thrilled with the mileage. I would love to hear others results as I feel that mine regenerates too often.

I have 20k kilometres on my truck and get up to 18 MPG on the highway empty going around 65-70 miles.
City driving I get 14 MPG with a small load half the time, I noticed on really cold days it gets down to 12 MPG a winter front really makes a difference with that too.
I took a trip to California a few weeks back with a 9k pound work and play fifth wheel that is as aerodynamic as a closet door and got around 10 MPG sometimes 11 MPG on flat ground and wind from the back.
I used up a 2.5 gallon jug of DEF one way or over 2000 miles.
On a side note the exhaust brake is awesome 8% downhill and the rig (17k pounds) did actually slow down rolling downhill.

i got 16 last fill up. mainly highway @ 65-70 and some 50 mph country roads. temps were 45 to 50. i see a big improvement with warmer temps with this truck. for 30 miles i was seeing 20mpg at 50 mph. 50 seems to be the sweetest spot for this truck also.

Seeing threads about mpg for other engines guess I'd start one for the hemi and so that the new guys can see what gas mileage we're getting.I average 15.5 mpg with my Hemi and all my other mods. Mostly city driving too.

\Not really a fair comprasion, you have a big engine in a really light truck it will do better then the same engine in a 1500 or 2500
