Hey guys I'm new to the 45-5500 series of trucks, which years should I be looking for? I can find 4500 or 5500 for nearly same price, I can look at used or new. I'm not sure how the urea effects stuff, and how about the mileage?? What's the difference between the trucks? I was thinking between 08 and 09 and delete everything and put Smarty Jr on it, just to increase mileage. Please tell me your thoughts, going to make purchase within a month, thank you. Also, what licence is needed for these trucks? Thanks.

As soon as I get the time the 08 is going to hit a bump and things are going to fall off of it..

The only diff between a 4500 & 5500 is springs and gear ratio, You gain some on the GVW with the 5500 springs.

I'm not sure what / how your hauling the 4500 w / air bags may be the setup for you as it will ride smoother.

Test drove a 4500 2011 today, loved it lol, but next week gonna test a 09 still not sure, 09 little more friendly on the budget.
