What kind of 1/4 mile times can I get?
I have a 2013 2500 auto 3.42 megacab. I am interested in drag racing it and haven't seen much info about what times can be achieved with these trucks. I would like to get into the mid 12's and still have th truck be daily driven. I know there are a bunch of options and builds but can that time be reached for under $5,000?
I got a hellcat right now with. 6 speed and that's about where it runs. The auto are a lot more easier to launch and that's where I am losing it right now. I would like to ditch the 65k car if my truck can get me similar results without becoming a dedicated race vehicle.

You will need a built trans, or upgraded manual trans, flex plate, full delete, programmer(s), big turbo / compounds, fuel system upgrades......8-10K will get you close....

I agree with the advice DTR Member 05CTDN8 has given you. However, with a properly built transmission I think you are going to be over $8,000.00.
FWIW, I have a 1996 Dodge CTD 12 valve that runs mid 11's. My engine is way
"overbuilt" and you can look at my "signature" to see what I have done to my truck. My transmission cost about $6,000.00 a few years ago and with the programmers, injectors, and turbos you will need that expense can get high.
But it can be done.
Anyway, good luck with your build-up on your 2013. If I can be of help please send me a P.M.

My 2001 24V ran a best of 11.95 @ 113mph. Full DTT billet trans, FASS fuel system, II SPS 66 turbo, II Mach 8 injectors, Edge Drag Comp, etc...(list is too long to type here)
4:10 gears, 7Klbs on the scale. 662 and 1275 at the rear wheels. All on a stock VP44 injection pump.
With a stick the rule of thumb is 100 more horsepower to keep up with an auto...
Good luck in your quest. Start a build thread, I will be sure to follow.
