48RE: Tranny Indicator Light Is On

Me and my buddy installed my Silverline Turbo back a few days ago and now my check tranny light is on...first we disconnected both negative terminals on the batteries, took the old system off, put the new one on...all was well...reconnected the battery terminals and everything was going good...then I glanced up at my display up on the ceiling and it claimed that it was -40 outside and according to the compass, I was doing doughnuts while I was on the interstate...so I went home and disconnected the batteries and reset it again...that problem was fixed...now this morning my tranny light was on, so all I can think of is disconnecting the batteries and trying to reset everything AGAIN...this is just bothering me a bit, everything is shifting fine and sounds fine, but the light is making me nervous...anybody have any suggestions?

Nobody has ever had this problem before? Should I assume that something isn't right in my tranny now IRONICALLY right after I installed the Silverline?

Weird. Changing the exhaust wom't mess with any warranty stuff. Change the intake back to stock (probably don't need to do that) and bring it in to see what they say.

Well that's the beautiful thing about having a warranty, they will fix it for free...the crummy thing is that my truck only has 5,500 miles on it and seeing my Transmission Indication Lamp after only 5 months of owning the $50,000 truck is pretty discouraging. I will reset the computer again and see if that puts things back to normal, but if not, I am going to be pretty upset if I have to drop my truck off at the dealership for time unknown.

I was thinking the same thing...but after just dumping $50Gs five months ago on this truck, I like to keep things as optimistic as possible...I couldn't fathom my tranny already failing on me after 5,500 miles and don't even want to think about what I would do without it...
