Ticking noise at half throttle
When the truck is idling I cannot hear the ticking, around 1500-2200rpm I have a tick even when the truck is not moving and when on the road. I have tried the cam and injection pump gear mesh deal, replaced belt tensioner. If I had a bent valve wouldn't the truck run weird, it runs normal, and if I get into the throttle rather hard there's no ticking at all, any thoughts

Couldn't hear it when it was idling and when i floored it. But when i drove normaly it was pretty loud at 1.5 to 2 rmps. Sounded like knocking valves on a gas vehicles. Maybe louder.

Just bringing life back to this thread, I found my problem yesterday, it was the plastic buttons on number 2 and 4 exhaust rocker arms, they were cracked, I changed out the whole rocker and runs like it should
