Help ! Help !!! Help !!
I drove my 2007 dodge last week. All was fine. I came back home after towing a mini x to a job site, parked the truck in the garage. Went out today, and try to crank... Nothing !. Radio, head lights, everything works, but it won't crank. I tried to use the lock unlock function on the key fob and the doors won't even lock or unlock. I have never had a problem with this truck until now !
thanks for any suggestions as to what this problem might be !

Ok, I think I've got it fixed. We'll see how long it stays fixed. Never had this issue in the past.
I found on line that others had similar issues. They said it could be the WCM (wireless control Module) for the anti thief system.
To get the truck to start and the key fobs to operate : Disconnect the neg. batt. cables for 30 sec. reconnected.. Key fobs now lock and unlock ,and the truck cranks !!
Anyone else ever had this problem ? Will I end up having to get the dealer replace the WCM ?

Due to the lack of responses, I guess no one else has had a problem with the WCM (or what ever it's called) in their truck ? With as many dod trucks out there, I can't believe I'm the only one

Sorry, I can't help by answering your question. I have been perusing these boards for many years (bought my truck new in 2004) and don't recall seeing this issue. But, thanks for posting your problem and the apparent fix. If it were me, I would try to locate any connectors that go to that module and clean them (if possible). Or, just wait and see if the problem persists. These modules are like computers ... sometimes they need a hard restart to get them going again.

I think your truck is having an issue seeing the key in the ignition. Next time it happens if you have another key, try it. Definitely sounds like a vehicle security module issue. If you have any access to one of the better scan tools it can look at the data for vehicle security and show which key is in the ignition.

when It happened, I did try the other key and got the same results. So far. I haven't had anymore issues. Maybe it was just a freak thing. I have owned this truck for 6 yrs. This was the 1st time this has happened.
From what I've been researching. It could cost as much as $600-$800 to have these modules replaced. so, we'll see how it goes
If this ever happens to someone...Maybe this post will help so they can reset their module instead of having their truck towed to the dealer

If it becomes a problem, you can look around on line and buy a anti-theft bypass device.. They have to install them on some vehicles when they add on remote start systems. It will disable you anti-theft system, but get rid of your problem...
