It's been done on here. I can't remember who did it but there was a LOT of cutting to make it work. To include lopping off the front frame horns.......

Find an all aluminum Powerstroke I/C circa 99-03ish IIRC. Not too much hacking and it gives you 3" in/out.......

i put the 2nd gen cooler in my '90 non ic truck, fit sweet, with minimal cutting, the 7.3 p-stroke coolers work on the 91.5-93 trucks, and are the largest, some non ic guys have also fit them in, how much work do you wanrt to do,and how much power are you shooting for?

I wouldn't put it in if it's a nice truck. I put a 3rd gen in mine. You have to A) cut the crap out of your frame, or B) cut the cooler down and re-weld it. I also narrowed mine 1". It was way more work than I really wanted to do. Never again. IMO, you're better off getting a cooler that fits better.
