Oil Dip Stick

While leaning over the engine, I broke the handle off my oil dip stick.

I just received the replacement from my Dodge dealer, the new ones don't work. They are a straight band of metal with out the spirals.

With out the spirals to center the dipstick it will hang up and not go all the way down.

Moral, don't bust off your dip stick handle !

Does anyone have a spare dipstick?

if so, let me know, ccrall@aol.com

How did you repair the broken handle, some sort of glue?

I live in south western Georgia, just north of Tallahassee FL

should be able to be welded back together. Local welding shop should be able to handle it. If not, send it up to me, and I'll weld it for you. Just include a return shipping label. I could use the practice..

No charge....

Maybe I'm not picturing the problem correctly, but it seems to me you can just use a propane torch and put a twist in it.
