Sounds good to me...don't see any reasons why I won't be able to make it down! Might even throw the truck on the dyno if there will be an opening...I am interested in seeing what my numbers look like on a Dynojet!

You will easily get on the dyno. David's dyno is one of the most respected ones around and the best thing is that duallies don't have to remove the outer wheels to get on it. If you show up you just have to go over and put your name on the list. It usually runs around $65 for three pulls but that may be up a bit with the cost of fuel for him to come up here from where he lives...

WHAT????? How many VP44's does it take to get it right? Sorry guys. I got a real interest in that one.
I'll be there if the good Lord is willing and the creek don't rise. And I don't mean Little Creek, Dennis.

I sure don't want to drive down there to find an empty lot!!

It happens this way every year. The original thread gets posted. A few of us say that we are coming. And then there is no activity in the thread for a long time. There's always a good turnout though. The big question is Did anybody book DavidTD to show up with the dyno?!?! My grill is ready to go.......

I was hoping that I would be able to come this year but I'll be out on the deep blue sea. Oh well maybe next year.

Sorry guys, but I've been slammed doing training at work plus taking care of family matters with my folks. Joel (Dieseldude4x4) stopped by the house a week or so ago and his schedule at work is busy too.

Unfortunately,,,,,, it looks like there will be no Claremont rally this year. Mike, I'm sorry that we haven't got with you sooner, but we know that you and the dyno need guaranteed numbers and we just aren't in a situation to cover the cost of y'all coming up here and not being able to make the number.
Fuel prices and the economy in general is just going to make it too hard for enough folks to commit. Matter of fact, I haven't made any of the events that I normally get to this year and the only one I'm going to not miss is the Hayes event in Sept. so I hope to see the friends down there then.

Once again guys,,,, sorry this ain't happening this year, However maybe we can find time in the future to get together for lunch or some local event.

Dennis and I talked and decided, as he stated above, that we felt attendance would be down. I know with fuel nearly doubled since last year , we would have to run twice the trucks or double the price per run . I had gaurenteed David the price if we did not get enough trucks to run but that is not an option this year. I will miss the event even though it is a lot of work, I enjoyed every one immensely. Maybe when this oil man gets out of office , the price of the parts cleaner fluid we run in these trucks will drop enough to make it worth while in the future (OOPS, did I say that).
I am leaving on the scooter tomorrow morning for seven days and we can talk about a meet and eat somewhere if you all like when I get back.
Stay cool.
