I don't know. My HX-35 compressor turned a shade of gold, but that never saw a temp above 1400*. So far this one is still it's original shade of silver. I never let temps get over 1450* on Saturday (one brief drag up a hill), but it stayed in the 1100-1200 range for a bunch of the trip. When I made it back to a 1000, I was happy since it was "resting".
And it got a nice long cooldown since I unloaded the semi before I pulled my truck around to be unloaded so it idled the whole time. But it was hot enough outside that it idled right 300* the whole time with the A/C blowing.

Pretty easy.. replaced mine already!
So I went out and looked it over earlier. As expected, it looks like it's been throwing little drops for a while judging by what is stuck to the fuel tank and the bottom of the bed.
But judging by the size of the mark it left after being parked for the night, I was expecting to find a trail of fluid from the seal down to the u-joint. Didn't see anything, just a little fluid on the u-joint and everything else was dry. Going to give the area a good cleaning and check it out again and make sure I know where it's from before I start trying to fix it.
Any special tools required for the job?

Wow RJ you are really going above and beyond. Like Mike!!

No onions for me..

The field wasn't to bad as they had mowed it a couple of weeks back. Sure it's grown some and will grow more after the rain. But I mowed a pretty good size area so it shouldn't be to bad there.
..
I was kidding.....definately about the case! I prob won't drink more than a 6 pack......prob only 3. I just don't drink that much.
You are welcome to spend the night if you want..........just bring a bed/roll/pillow.....air mattress if you want it. Plenty of room, just not alot of beds.
..
Robert, I knew you were kidding.
Just went out to mineral wells to see Dan @ Valair, I had a squeaking clutch and had called him a time or two about it. Well anywho today he gave me a new updated clutch, pressure plate, bearings and turned my flywheel. free of charge. If that is not customer service and satisfaction guranteed I am not sure what is.

Just wish I hadn't missed the shootin' gallery when I was installing it
