It will take awhile to get used to it. I've had mine in for over a yr and when I drive a normal truck its crazy how long it is. The short shifter actually isn't very notchy anymore, I've learned to flick the wrist instead of jam it.

What you need is a school that's not in the desert so you have some yards to mow.

I'll let him mow my yard if he wants to commute back to here to do it every week.

Actually, I don't even know what the going rates are these days. I suspect much more than im willing to pay.......which is why I will prob keep doing it myself.

That's why its hard for me to come up there, I'm afraid if I do I'm gonna get my equipment and haul it back up and live there too. This drought is unlike any I have ever seen in my life. I'm a little worried. I keep hearing this winter is gonna be crazy too...

If the drought doesn't let up we'll have to ship water down there along with our hay!

Gonna let the lot behind Robert's grow out, then we'll just cut it for hay and take it down there.

Our water table underground has went down 20ft in the past 4 months, ppls wells are running dry and they're having to go deeper.

Justin, you would probably be doing the owner, whoever he is, a favor....

Rick, sorry to hear about the drought. I see it in the news all the time about Austin/SA and southern TX. Ya'll are hurting bad. I hope this fall and winter are going to be kind to you and bring steady systems of showers and heavy rains. Yall need a hurricane though, I think!

Somehow I'm thinking that even if we got a hurricane, we'd end up on the dry side of it.

Even if it was headed straight for us, it would part like the Red Sea when it got there. That's how all the other storms have ended up lately. They either die or split before they get there.

I keep telling people that and they think I'm nuts... I really do think a Hurricane or tropical storm is all that can get us out of this mess. Or a record setting winter...but I agree, everything has been stalling right when it gets to us, I swear we're in a deadzone. Right now I'm praying for anything, this drought is killing alot of work, too many ppl scared they're gonna spark a blaze. But we got an inch an a quarter day before yesterday, thankful for that.

No doubt she was definately the prettiest!! Congratulations Dad! There is nothing like holding your newborn child in your arms for the first time. That's the best moment ever.
