I will be at redline. I have only been to one meet with yall but if yall make it redline it will probably be my last at least for about 4 years. Im probabl going to santa fe, new mexico for a baseball scholarship. And it doesnt look there is any chapter there so I will be a far-off memeber.

Good luck on the scholarship! You know we're all rooting of you.

Guess you'll have to stir up a little interest in NM.

40* difference????? Part of me says maybe. Part of me says no way the difference can be that many degrees!

Anyone have any thoughts?

I guess I'd question the 92* airhorn temp with a 94* ambient. I wouldn't expect the intercooler to be that efficient.

Good point! That was a quick unofficial test. I did go out this early am and readings were still 35-40* different (IAT being warmer) at all boost settings.
Example: 78* OAT....30 psi boost.... Airhorn temp probe - 95*...... IAT - 135*.
FWIW - H2O/Meth cools IAT down 30-40* at all levels of power.

FOX13 - Got rear seat storage rack cleaned up and installed... workss perfectly!
Hope rear bumper is working for you?

Like the Red ones...Huh? Good price! Don't know what makes an 04.5, unless it's the G56 Trans? I know the 04's don't have them and the 05's do.
You do know about Carfax,,,,Right?
Good Luck!

red ones just seem to be the ones with good deals, i think at this point it would have to be an 04.5+, so i can access all the extra power with the smarty.

as far as carfax, i hear its a HOAX, only tells you if the vehicle has had SERIOUS SERIOUS damage. like flood, or totalled... but that is all i have heard i dont know how true that is.

Since you've got a VIN, I'd call a Dodge dealer and see if they can list a service history for you.

I did that when my other half bought her car. I checked with a dealer local to where the car was from (based on Carfax), then they checked the full manufacturer history and told me each time it had been in and what for.

The 35* diff is understandable. You have the air basically hitting the dead end before entering the chamber, warm block, residual heat transfer when the intake valve opens, etc.

Good looking truck! But then, I'm a little partial to RED.

It could be the pic, but it's listed it as a tan interior, but looks gray to me?

The only thing I would question is the ball in the bed and nearly 25k miles per year. Being it's from OK, probably don't have to worry about floods, but I would check very close for repaired hail damage. No doubt, the price is good.

For the price it looks like a nice truck Max! It says on the Ebay ad that it is an 05....not an 04.5. So, if it is an "early" 05 you want to be aware of plastic intercoolers. You can always replace it but just something to be aware of as they can blow out even stock......and certainly WILL blow out if heavily bombed. Dodge realized the error of their ways later and went back to metal intercoolers in late 05. The trans should still be an NV5600. Later in 05 model year they came out with the G56 trans. Either are fine.

04.5's came out in Jan. 04. But this one would be one of the first 05's apparently. They have all of the power (04.5-07 5.9s) so your good to go with Smarty. Good luck with it.

But I'd still have to hold out for a 4x4!

I used Carfax when I bgt my 02 in 03. Had 13,000 miles and dealer told me Tx rancher bgt auto so his wife could/would drive it... and hated it.
Faxfax told me -
-One owner,
-Originally registered as a personal vehicle
-Originally a Texas Title; With exact date sold,
-Date registered and date traded back to dealer (for 6 speed dually).
-No severe damage...."Guaranteed"
-No DMV reports on this VIN # being in any accident.
-No odometer tampering..."Guaranteed"
-No Mgf Buyback (lemon Law) reported (as reqiured by DMV) ...."Guaranteed"

Knowing it had been on dealers lot for 3 months allowed me to low ball the price with confidence....more than covering the $20.00 pd to Carfax.
JMO.

Had not thought about that! Only 20* difference at startup so you're probably right!
Just seems like a lot of heat soak considering how briefly the the new air sits in the head.
(1/16th of a sec at 2000 rpm, by my calculation).
