13FOX - When getting the 12v? Need it for EOM run in Denton... right?
Thought I was going to have to tell you I no longer have rear bumper.... could not find it anywhere! But it was buried in a corner of my storage unit behind some winter clothes. Still got it!

Cool beans on the bumper. Got the tool tray with hardware here in the shed.

RJ the 12v did not have oil pressure when we tried to fire it up. So I had to fly back home empty handed. Check the oil release vavle and is not stuck open. So Rob will now have to remove the top turbo oil line and back fead oil through the oil filter housing IOT primp the oil pump up. We got everything done @ 5pm on Tuesday but no oil press. What a bummer. But I least I got a chance to check out the truck. I is a bit rough and will need some body work and new driver side seat bottom. But thats why a call it the project truck. Start with the expensive stuff first (drivetrain) and once that is done move to the body and interior. Guess it could classify as a rat rod. LOL. We install a custom 50 gal steel fuel tank as well. Looks like a coffin up under the truck. I'll give you a buzz later this evening.

RJ......I installed my new air horn in today too! Based on my initial impressions it seems to perform as you mentioned yours did. The boost is definately stronger. The bottom end off the line seems to have picked up a little.......seems a little more effortless....I guess is the word. I haven't been out on the highway with it yet to form any opinion at speed. Those that say they add about 10-15hp to the 3rd gens (maybe 2nds too) I would say would be about right. Maybe a little more?

i have the means to get 25 gallons/week of jet fuel (jet A) to run in my truck, any thoughts from y'all?

i figure $400 a month savings will help, i have not priced any of the additives to boost lubricity.

EDIT: JET A will be used for "off road use only"..

I know yours is a common rail, but check your manual. Mine says to burn anything but "Jet A & Jet B". Could be because of the lubricity, but worth checking.

My first thought is...

ARE YA GONNA SHARE ?!?

... otherwise, enjoy the free miles - it'd work fine with some "extra" oil for lubricity.

Hey Mike do they make an MP8 for the 08' yet. I'm only seeing them for sale on the 07.5's. I do know the 08' has a differ ECM than 07.5. Maybe taking awhile to crack it????

Not one for the '08 that I've seen... always takes a little time for the model year & running changes to filter out through to the aftermarket & enthusiast worlds.

I think it's going to be awhile before the current 2010 emissions-ready CTDs are fully understood for BOMBing purposes.

Be careful. Jet turbine fuel is extremely dry.....and Jet A is the worst!

I would mix it 50-50 with pump diesel, and still add a qt of 2 cycle oil per 30 gal +/- mixed.
And be sure it's clean. That stuff is like a magnet for H2O!

Definately worth doing........... with some preparation!

will the FASS take care of the water?
