Yep, but the magnets are there to hold it at the bottom.

Well folks, I made it back safe and sound. Italy was great, even better that we were there outside of the main tourist season so everything wasn't just packed. Venice was calm and laid back. Man can those people drive a boat. Made me ready for lake season. Rome on the other hand was just crazy. Small cars and scooters everywhere. We were surprised to see a '88-'93 Chevy 1500 parked on one of the streets. Probably the biggest vehicle we saw aside from the buses. I was definitely glad to get back to the truck last night.

So what's the plan for the next meet? Now that I no longer have a full plate of getting ready for a wedding, hopefully I'll have some free time. And I can start on a list of projects that need to be done now that the ol' girl has rolled over to the backside of 200K.

Congrats on the wedding and everything. Glad you had a good time and made it home safely. So your truck is just now getting broke in?

Hey all,
Just got back from a 5 day trip to Altoona, PA. Flew into Pittsburgh and drove over to see the wife's family. Visit went well, no one got shot and nobody had to call 911.

Glad you got back OK Justin. Meant to tell you to keep your wallet in your front pocket in Rome Those little brats outside the Colesium are pretty sneaky pickpockets. Venice is cool and I liked it better than Rome.

Glad 13FOX is hangin' in there.

Sounds like you had a good time Max, did you get the truck cleaned up yet

it was a good ol time. .

and NO NO the dodge will NEVER be clean again. . . the interior needs some cleaning. its funny how the driver area is pretty clean and the passenger area is kinda a mess. inconsiderate passengers i guess, but that comes with the territory. and no biggie.

also, i am gonig to adjust valve lash today with one of the students from our diesel tech side of class. he has a 01 24v . . . i printed out all the directions and looks failry simple. .

ill report back with the good news and hopefully, do not end up with a DuallyDog day. . .

Don't pull a Tyler. You have 24 valves, not 22 or 23

all went well , a couple of them were fairly loose. and now everything is tightened up to spec. i pulled the feelers off the feeler set before we started, and most of the tools we used we large so i was not too worried about them falling in.

after doing 1 and 2 my nervousness went away. ( i have never done anything to my truck) . . it seems to idle smoother? maybe? or i am just trying to feel a difference . who knows. .

I noticed mine was quieter at idle and felt like it had more power between idle and 1k rpm
