North Texas #8 March Meet
He said he would give me a full report. Im sure the clutches have to be worn some.
I wonder if it would actually make a difference in "peak" hp on a dyno? My intuition tells me not much peak difference....but a bunch of difference from 0-60+ mph. Guess we will see. But im not gonna beat on it much until I get some miles on it. I have to tow with it the following week too. Northum suggests changing out the fluid/filter again after about 1500 miles.
..
Again...made it out Friday on a 10am flight that got away at 11:30am. Sure wondered where all that snow was when I got home. If I hadn't seen pics, I'd have guessed it was all a big joke.
Flew back out here this morning on the 6:30. ATL is my home away from home.

Sunny Florida! Ocala to be exact! They are about three weeks ahead of us (weather wise). Nice to see everything growing and 75*- 80* every day!
BUT, after Tallahassee, Diesel was $3.99 a gallon. Glad I went to trouble of bringing 2 drums of Ok Bio20 ($3.49) with me. Had headwinds all the way down here and towing a small flatbead half way, bearly averaged over 15 mpg
New GPS is great... Average driving speed 72 mph. 1180 miles in 16.5 hrs (driving time). 1.5 hrs stopping time, not including one delivery along the way.
Hope to be back for Friday nite at the Ranch.... will definately make Sat morning, even if have to drive straight through.

Not quiet that warm here, but at least it's sunny and dry. I haven't been out today, but I'm sure diesel prices are up again.
You be careful coming back! There will be other dynos.

Well gentlemen (and Dan
)........I can finally post about transmissions again in North Texas Threads.
Got the truck back Thursday afternoon from James. Dang it pulls like a freight train now!!! There ain't no slipping going on. It puts the power to the ground. With just a moderate throttle it will jump up to 70 in a flash and it does it so quietly....since the engine isn't reving up to 2300 or so rpms. I can see a haze of smoke now almost all the time....since the engine actually works (instead of just revving)....in the lower gears and before lock up.
I haven't had a chance to drive it much yet.....just from Midlothian to Dallas (to work) ...and then home. I am sure I will have even more positive comments to make about it after a few hundred more miles. See ya'll Saturday in Denton!

should i do any maintanence on my nv4500? 156kmiles.

The book on my '99, NV4500 says it don't need to be serviced. At about 200K, I drained mine and put new in. The old oil was not burnt and was not very dirty. I don't do a lot of towing, so that might make a difference.
