LazarSmith Burglary

We were burglarized this past weekend - criminals didn't get away with much more than a shot-up vehicle & a ride in the meat wagon... LEOs were like "DAYUM - next time we respond to a 'shots-fired' at LazarSmith we'll bring a bigger number set for the shell casings..."

Well, it was actually wagonS - the kind with multi-colored flashing lights that drives directly to the E.R.

Usually "Meat Wagon" refers to the Coroners vehicle they use to cart off the cadavers

In today's wacky legal environment, you are better off if the perps leave your place in one of those instead of an Ambulance.....Dead men can't sue you

Sadly many a good guy who is just protecting the property he works 7 days a week to acquire, ends up paying the perps medical bills later on.

How stupid is that? I sure hope that doesn't happen in your position, good looking out

The Coroner was my first thought..

My CCW instructor told us to shoot to kill. Dead guys cant sue and there's only one side of the story.

I've had a gun jammed against my head before, so I don't have a problem popping a dome when needed - but my son was the shooter and he hasn't yet developed a stone-cold killer instinct.

Kudos to your son!! Regardless, killing someone sticks with ya forever. I'd steal if it meant life or death situation for my family.

Any news link?

Glad to hear you and your family/property are alright...

Did you have any issues being as they were leaving when the shots were fired? Ive heard stories before of people getting in trouble for that because they were no longer considered a threat at that point...

Luckily they are in Texas where they STILL believe a man has the right to protect his life and property... The chance of these rats trying something like that again probably just dropped 80% thanks to Evan sending them to school errr I mean the Hospital
