TX DTR #8 November and December 2009 Thread

Thought I would start a new thread since we are still on September's thread, now, even in November.

Any other events planned between now and the end of the year?

That's what they have been saying.... and apparently there was a time change the other day too?!?! Luckily I did not miss church. THANK YOU cell phone alarm clock.

Look like I will be around Nov 23rd-29th if anything is happening. I would like to get my truck on some rollers and see the numbers these days.

I would like to do something as well with my hybrid 05/06. Even if it is just hanging out somewhere(perfer chiggerless) area.

Looks like you got the truck running again.

I have a place with NO chiggers.

Not true.... they are just well trained. They bite everyone but you!

Don't know about anyone else, but the Sat of Thanksgiving Weekend is a good GTG date for me!
My daughter was going to fly down from Boston but the airlines make that impractical.
Round Trip ticket for that weekend in $1200.00!!! The following week (same # of days), it's only $225.00.

Got my long weekend project laid on (make a new lobsterman's flagpole) but could squeeze in a GTG!

My "second" family Thanksgiving will be the Saturday after the formal turkey day.

It depends on where it is and when I head back from my parent's as to if I will be there or not.

I'm out for the weekend after Thanksgiving. We'll be in Giddings for Thanksgiving and probably won't be back till Sunday.

Interesting Factoid for the day!

MY 02, LWB, Quad Cab has a wheelbase of 12'-9".
The new MegaCabs have a wheelbase of 13'-5".
Justin and I , driving to Crandall, were discussing how much smoother the long beds are than the short beds.
Bet those MegaCabs are sweet riding trucks!

And the Stretched MegeCabs are 15'... axle to axle. Looks like another item added to my Wish List
(Dear Santa, I've been a good boy all year and ..........)
Too much time on my hands? Who me??

I plan to purchase one of those shortly after I graduate and get a job. 4x4 and all.

I am going to try to make the " Ultimate Tow Rig " out of it.

Ya but I can tell you from experience this one is hard enough to park at the grocery store much less a stretched one. Even with all the trees I have its tough manuvering.
