Yeah i'm trying to get the word out, but its hard to find guys from this area. i want to post one thread in every section so every one can see it but i think its against the rules.

So any help to get the word out would be great. or if you know anyone that is in the area send me the screen name and i'll do the rest.

I have been running ideas through my head and have many to work on. The first thing is to get a good group of guys so that we can start having G2G's to find out what everyone would like to see happen with the Chapter. I would like to set up a monthly G2G so that everyone would have a chance to make a few during the year.

A few ideas that i have been thinking about is finding a place that we could set up a diesel truck show. If it went good maybe even seeing about setting up an annual show. i would also like to look into setting up a dyno day. I know that ART in Buda has had one the past few years in the spring but i would like to see more diesel events here in central TX. I would like to find out if and what i need to do to get DTR to sponsor a Dyno day to get the DTR name out and try to recruit more CTD owners. I would also like to see about meeting up with the other locals around the state. As TXDTR-45 is the closest they would be the easies to set up meets with, but have nothing against meeting up with the north chapters.

I am part of a Local in the fire department i work for and we have fundraisers on a normal basis. We could possibly look into doing something like that. i know there is allot to take care of with taxes before we can even think about doing something like this. The money would be donated to some charity of the chapters choose. If the guys would even be up for doing it. I would also have to talk to Admin and the other DTR chapters to find out if we could even do anything like that.

I still have allot to learn and will be looking to the other Chapters for advise. If anyone would like to give any input i would love to hear it as i am new to this and will be growing as we go. At first we will have to take it slow to find out what direction we even what to go in. I was told that we could make this as big or small of a Chapter as we wanted to it is up to us to decide.

Let me know of an questions. I will do my best to answer them, or find the answer if i don't know it. so ask away.

Ok. I'm just seeing what places we would be talking about. Man my business is really going, and since I'm solo I've been working through the weekend to make an honest buck. But I want to make it to a GTG and meet some of ya'll.

What do you think would be a good central point of interest to gather some of us up???

 

Liberty Hill sounds great to me, Let me find out who all would be able to meet and we will go from there. we have a few guys from the killeen temple area, so we will just have to wait and see.
