Where to go from here?

I need some advice, and I knew I could count on y'all for that. The truck in my sig is what's in question. I'm planning on keeping it around for awhile, but I'm nervous about the 3.55's. Last weekend I went to move hay around for the winter, and pulled one load that was 13 big rounds on a 32' gooseneck bale trailer. Handled it ok, but I know I was over what I should have been doing. It's mainly a daily driver, but occasionally I'll pull 8-10k. My habits in the past are to leave OD off until I can hit and maintain 1500-1600 rpms. Future planned mods are mild. 4" turbo back exhaust, possible BHAF, maybe a mild chip. I'm on the stock tranny with 235,000. I want solid performance, not a racer. Any suggestions? Planning on buying a travel trailer soon. Probably in a 28-30 ft. range. I get nervous running down the road at 65 with OD off. Once my truck hits 60, it feels like it just gets louder, nothing else. Is this normal? Should I just push it? Hit me with what's up, fellas. Thanks.

A taller gear is nice on the hills with a big load but I pulled that same weight for years with no issues aside from blowing 1 spider gear out the back. Continue to drive like you described and you should be fine.
