Need a gooseneck trailer in about a year so I'm doing research. What do you guys recommend? I have a Corn Pro bobcat style trailer. I like it except for some vibration issues. Mortiz looks like a nice trailer. I want something that's built well. Looking at getting a 14K with single wheels and deck over with dovetail (folding). Any suggestions would be great! Thanks.

 

I've got a Pequea skid steer trailer, has a 20' deck. I like it, it's built heavy and strong, and well made. Might be worth looking at them.

 

I highly recommend a Gator brand GN, they are made here in Ky and are the toughest thing around (12" I beam frame and neck) a good ramp setup and they come loaded up. Not to mention since they are a small company and do not ship far they are able to keep costs down $5,000 for my 20' with a 5' dove. And it was loaded up.

Titan, Load-trail, H&W.....I own all three and have had good luck.

 

I have a PJ dump and its solid....5000 pounds empty...A little on the heavy side but super sturdy...11000 pounds of rock didnt faze it, or the truck PJ makes some nice flatbeds, roll-off styles and hydraulic dovetails too...

 

I have a Load Trail, see gallery under my 4020 tractor, and I think PJ Trailers are made in the same factory in Sumner, Tx. Try them. I love mine....other than the sissy load range E tires!

1) Make sure it has "G" ranges on it when you buy it. Trust me.
2) Don't settle for a single jack, get dual jacks. Trust me.
3) Check the wiring before you buy. Check for grommets and watertight connections.
4) Get dual taillights if you can on each side. If one blows on a road trip, keep truckin', you have a working spare.
5) Get two spare tires. One isn't enough for a tandem trailer. Again, trust me.
6) Check neck clearance if you have a 4x4. You don't want to crunch your bedside on a terrace!

I have a moritz 20'+5' adjustable dovetail with 2 8k axles. very well built. It hauls my john deere 440 log skidder easly. But it did cost alittle more than other brands.

 

I have a Hawke 12' Dump that I haul a Skidsteere in all the time. Rated at 12k and pulls great!!!! Look up Kaufman Trailers in Lexington NC. Build to personal specs and are cheaper in price than any of the larger manufacturers!!!

 

wow i just looked at those Gator made trailers online and man from the pics. those are some of the stoutest looking, nicest trailers i have ever seen.

I'm wanting a dump bad. I have access to a 10' bumper pull, that thing comes in handy more times than one could imagine. When I get one of my own it will be a GN, drop down 4' sides, rear barn style doors (hopefully 16' long) and have triple 6K's.

I like the Moritz and Corn pro both are well built trailers . There are a lot of the light duty trailers out there which will cost you 1/3 to 1/2 as much and say they will haul just as much , do not be fooled .

 

Moritz are real nice. Well built trailers. Made in Mansfield, OH. Buddy off mine has a Hillsboro 350 tandem dual. Real nice trailer tows great. Little heavy but that is way better than not heavy enough.

 

So, do they do any kind of "axle or wheel alignment" before they go out the door? Do you know if any of the manufacturers do this type of thing or do they just bolt on OEM axles and run them out the door?

 

And where are the goosnecks equipment haulers? Did I miss them?
