Weight Balance

So I just got back from Moab. It was a 4400 mile round trip. The truck and new trailer towed great. I'm wondering what you guys think of the weight balance on the rig. Here is how it scaled out.

Steer Axle 5480
Drive Axle 5620
Trailer Axle 13420
Gross 24520

I feel like the Drive axle is a little low on weight, but the ride was soooooo smooth. No bucking and great stopping power with the jake. I don't have alot of room on the trailer to move stuff around but I could definetly get some more tongue weight if I had to.

From the picture it looks very level as well.

What do you guys think????

I've never towed a gooseneck trailer, but if the weight balance feels fine while underway, why mess with it?

OTOH, If you weigh the axles w/ truck empty, you can calculate how much weight was on the drive axle. Then, you would at least be able to estimate how much to setup in the future!

By strict theory, it should have 25% of the weight on the drive axle, you have about 2500 pounds, which would figure to correct at a 10,000 pound trailer, so a little light. I would watch it on wet roads. I would worry more about the tire load on the trailer. It is at 3355 per tire by your weight figures. About the only tire that will legally and safely carry that much is the goodyear 614, which is incidentally a poor tire but will do the job ok. they like to pop the side wall in hot conditions.

I know how to make it lighter on the truck but i dont see how you could get any more pin weight. The truck looks like it is sitting proper though. Might want to have the jeeps weighed and put the heavier one up front.
