Not all water heaters use anodes. I had trouble with my heater and the company said my model is not suppose to have an anode. The rv dealer had some anodes in stock.

I got mine for my Suburban heater at a small RV center. About 7.00 if I remember correctly. The Annodeis connected to the Drain plug. It is one unit. Pull one out and screw the new one in! Plus you get to drain and flush the heater. My new rig has an Atwood Water heater, no annode!

Camping world had mine (Suburban). It was less than 10 bucks. Dont know why the things desolve so fast since I rarely use it and have never run it on elect.

If your anode goes away real fast it is an indication that your electrical system is not grounded well enough. Check your panel for good ground to frame. You can not have too many safety grounds!!
