Trailer suspension rubber equalizers
Trailer suspension rubber equalizers
I'm interested in replacing the stock, 2 inch tall steel equalizer on my double axle fifth wheel rv. I'm interested in hearing from others who have done so using the Joyrider, E-Z Flex, or Equa-Flex equalizers. One concern I have by swithcing to one of these is that I do NOT want to lower the trailer ground clearance at all. I'd lke it to remain as it or sligtly raise it. As always, thanks for the input. I installed the dexter EZ flex on my 07 holiday rambler. it was worth the money i spent. stuff does not seem to be all over the trailer any more and I can feel the difference in the ride. also the truck seems to have calmed down a bit too. didn't change ride hight ether . the dexter EZ flex is quality product built very strong (all the parts) and has a grease able bearing that it pivots on.
The Dexter and Trailair are comparably priced. On the Dexter website, they show graphs of the theirs compared to the Mor Ryde, Trailair, and stock equalizer. The differences are pretty varied with the Deter product having better results. Quiet a bit better. I don't know how biased or unbiased their tests are, however, the Dexter product performed a good bit better than the famed Mor Ryde product. I was kind of hoping to get some good feedback on the Trailair since it will raise the trailer about an inch over the stock or Dexter E-Z flex equalizer. The Dexter info says no difference in height.
