Re:??trailer connector??

Check the positive to a good body ground (probably need the ignition on). If you don't have positive or brakes (different lead), it is probably a bad ground.
Terry

Re:??trailer connector??

those plugs get a lot of road cfrud in them you need to clean it out. I believe that in the power box under the hood that there is a fuse for the trailer setup that operates the plug

Re:??trailer connector??

Sure sounds like you lost ground if nothing works. Put the negative lead on a good ground such as the frame (scratch a little to get thru the paint), turn on the lights and a turn signal, then try each of the pins. If you are showing 12v on any them, then you have a ground problem. Go back to the ground lead pin and try the others again. You are saying you have nothing, even brakes. That sure sounds like a ground to me.
Bob

Re:??trailer connector??

When buddy and I went to Chicago and pulled somewhere between 5500 and 8000 (never hit a scale) of assorted parts on a car trailer we got ready to leave and had no trailer park lights. Truck had 'em and trailer had brake/turn. It was a 2001 2500.

He poked and prodded under the rear of the truck and cussed and swore. He opened the hood and poked around a little. I looked much harder and found a large fuse that was blown.

This leads me to believe you could find a similar situation. ???
