Trailer Battery Fuse

I have a 40 ft. gooseneck worktrailer that keeps popping the trailer battery fuse. The fuse is located under the hood in the fuse box. Replaced trailer plug and inspected wires . When the fuse pops no trailer brakes. It is a electric over hydraulic system. Can anybody tell me whats going on???

my friends motorhome is wired wrong he has to unhook the electrical when he backs up his car hauler. the reverse light is hooked up to his trailer brakes, i guess it's easier for hime to unhook it everytime rather than swap a few wires. are you sure the trailer and the truck are wired the same???

What brand of elec/hydraulic actuator? some are rated at 50amps(max)..I know what your talking about on lack of brakes...Have you upped the amperage of the fuse by 5 to see what happens... I've considered adding a 12 volt battery to the trailer for a more reliable power supply..I have also considered putting an LED pilot light on the trailer that could be seen from the drivers mirror as well
