Towed new 5th wheel...results and some questions??

Picked up my new 5th wheel today. Heritage Glen 346 QBUD. Dimensions are as follows;
Length 39'
Hitch weight about 2200lbs
Trailer weight about 10,000lbs as it sits, 12,100lbs GVWR

It towed very well. I was concerned about towing with the SRW but it did very well. I didn't feel out of control at anytime. My questions are with the temps I was running and if I am hot or right in line.

EGT's were 1100-1300 consistent depending on slight hills, tranny temps were 195*, boost was around 15-20lbs. Engine temp around 200-205*

It was 103* outside, towing into a 20mph headwind for about 120 miles. Smarty Jr. was set on SW1, TM3, TQ4.

Good to go or too hot?

Everything looks real good especially for the ambient temp you were operating in. My tranny temp is usually cooler when on the interstate around 180* at 90* ambient. Of coarse it will heat to 190-200 when not in lock up. My 5ver is 15k and the truck in my sig hauls it like a dream.

39' and 10k? Are you sure?
Mine is 35' empty weight 12k, 15k loaded. This is relativeely light for a 3 slide fiver.
Most 39' fivers weigh about 15k empty. You may want to weigh it.
If it is 15k plus, you should have a 3500, dullie preferable.
More weight will push up the heat especially on grades.
Also, how fast do you drive? In hot weather, 55-60 mph will run cooler than 70, FWIW.

You don't indicate how fast you were running. I am not comfortable towing any distance with EGT's over 1200. I just got back from NM towing 16K into 40-50mph headwinds and 60mph pushed the EGT's over 1200 - - I backed it down to 55 and held about 1150. I am stock other than larger air filter. At 60 - 65, flat road, little to no wind I run about 950 EGT.

10,000lbs for a 39 foot does seem low but they are building them lighter . Because he seems certain of the GVWR at 12,100lb I would guess it has 5200lb axles and a pin weight of 1700lbs empty, that gives a 2100lb payload if the trailer is 10,000lb. My 2012 36 foot triple slide weighs 9870lbs empty
