100% wrong. Each state has their own RV doubles laws and they do not reciprocate. In fact, you can pull doubles in TX even if the trailers are registered in a state that does not allow it.

I say put a good hitch on the back of your stock trailer, hook up your shoe'n trailer and haul azz west to Montana. That's what I would do!! I sure as hell wouldn't make two trip's!! Have a safe trip..

Better to ask for forgivness than for permission!!!

We have done it many times. Have one on our 16' halftop (cowboy trailer as we know it) and have pulled 16' bumper pulls behind it. Have done it on a 30' dovetail and hooked up a 16' bmper pull to the back just to get a few extra rolls of hay on every trip. Its do able.
