Snap up Bracket question

I got a new trailer, Mustang bumper pull, 12,000# capacity, to drag a utility tractor and other stuff around and have a question. I have a small bumper pull horse trailer that I pull with a reese weight distribution hitch with no problems. The snap up brackets fit fine over the horse trailer's L shaped angle iron part of the A frame front that is 2 1/2 inches wide, exactly what the snap up brackets can just accomodate. The new trailer has I beams that go to the hitch that are 8" high and 4" wide and I can't figure out how to put snap up brackets on to hang the bars for the WD hitch. I googled and searched the usual sites for replacement brackets and all only have a 2 1/2" capacity, and the I beam construction on the new trailer gives no place to brace the brackets. I'm open to any suggestions. While my skill set doesn't include welding at this point, I do have buddy who is a pro and would be willing to help. Thanks-Bill
