I don't use my holding tanks for my supply of water. I'm hooked up to city water with chlorine in it. The holding tanks had about 1 inch of water in them and enough bleach to kill anything..this was left over from my earlier flush.
Believe it or not the cold water lines this time stunk, not the hot water lines.

Sounds like the city uses ground water (Well) and has a small hydrogen sulfide problem a GAC filter will help this type of problem just keep it changed regularly . Or it could be that you are connected to a dead end supply line and it needs to be flushed.
