Slide in campers Long bed short bed 3rd Gen

Where can I find more info on Slide in campers for 3rd gens?
Most of the used campers I see are for longbeds, where I have a short bed.

I was unaware that there were any 3rd Gen specific slide in campers.

Sounds like you need to start looking for short bed campers.

Have you browsed RVTraderOnline? You can often get an idea of the different models and styles available by looking though the ads posted there. There are also several RV websites/discussion forums where info can be found. And there are always the local RV dealers.

Lance makes some of the finest campers on the market and happen to have 3 different shortbed models. I wish I could afford one, but boy are they high-dollar!

I ran a Mountain Star full sided camper from Travel Light in my 01 longbed, but they also made a shortbed version. As far as the bed being different, Im not tottally sure of specs. A lot of truck campers arent vehicle specific except for either long or short bed. They also changed bed designs in the late 90's or so I think and dimensions on new campers are different than older ones. (IE a 20 year old camper may not fit right).

Look at Four-Wheel-Drive campers, they make some nice stuff.
Lance is nice and if you want that high dollar there a few others as well.
Ive had some Palominos and always was happy with them too.
Oh, and if you want the best look at an Alaskan camper! (just my biased opinion)

Just get on a website like Lances and it should give you most specs you need.

Good luck in your searching theres quite a few out there

Thumbs up Northstar campers

We've enjoyed our 2000 Northstar popup for seven years now. Excellent construction, fit and finish. Zero problems in all these years. They make many hardside models to fit your truck. Consider them also. Suspension upgrades will be necessary regardless of brand.

Here's where you should be looking

I used to have a 95 Fleetwood Caribou 11K....loved it, but a new baby boy, and three big dogs made for tight quarters.
Check out the "Truck Campers" forum....lots of knowledgable folks there.
