She followed me home

Well, after an 11 week wait to have this baby made, she finally came home and I thought I would show it off!!

It's a Royal Cargo 7X16 with way to many bells and whistles, but I'm only buying it once so I went a little overboard. Hope you enjoy it, I know I do!!

What do I do with it? I just bought it to have it mostly. There are always times when I need an enclosed trailer and don't have access to one. I will use it once and awhile for work, I'm a finish carpenter. It is a one time purchase so I went for it. It will sit more than it moves but it is always there at the ready.

As for the inside, it is just pylwood lined with a ton of tiedowns in the floor and walls.

Very nice rig! I have a 6x12 for my business and I have substantially outgrown it! Wish I had bought a 7x16 only once

Nice hauler...

You might use it more than you think.. I would think it would be easier to get the tools in and out of the trailer than the back of the truck... Good workspace for the winter, just put a small bench in..LOL...

Do you have the curb door and rear ramp or barn doors? I am looking to buy a used one for exactly the same thing. Hauling 2 girls back and to school. I'm also starting to get buy-in from the better half.

I actually forgot about this post!

Yes Crobtex you do see matching graphics.

The company that made the truck graphic is only a few hours from me (Edmonton) so I thought I'd make a phone call and see if they would do the same graphic only 4 feet longer. Not a problem at all for them. I figured that the same graphic as the truck would really set it off.

Iron Mike

It has a 30 inch curb side door and I went with the barn doors in the rear. A ramp would have worked for me but barn doors enable me to get closer to a building to load and unload.

A day after the pics were taken, it went on it's maiden voyage of a round trip to the coast. Ended up being 3300 km in 2 days worth of driving. The trailer is heavy (2600 lbs empty) but towed like a dream!!! I always knew it was there but it never swayed, wiggled, jerked, nothing. Came back maxed out on the trailer weight, (weighed in at 11,655 lbs) but other than feeling the weight back there, the trailer was mostly invisible. Tracked like it was supposed to.

Spent way more than I should have, but it is a one time purchase so I did it up right.

There's my baby, thanks for finding her for me. I'm surprised she followed your truck home though, cause mines red... and ugly. I'll be over shortly to pick her up, sorry for any trouble.

We were just looking at the Royal in a 14X7/8 for hauling the bikes, I was planning on stopping in Edmonton at Flaman for pricing. It sounds like you got the 6000lb axles, which dealer did you pick it up at. I did not realize they were made in Lethbridge, the under carriage is all tubing not channel I really like it better for frame material. PK

Hi Pat

Picked it up at Elite RV on Barlow Trail here in Calgary. 248-9894, ask for Kristen and tell her I sent you. They have a bunch of 7x14's on the lot. I ended up factory ordering mine because of extras.

I stepped up to the 6000 lb axles to get the tire size as much as capacity. And yes the tube frame is one of the things that sold me. Not a single piece of angle or "C" channel to be found in these trailers.
