Welcome to the forum. Look at my signature and you can see what I am pulling with my Short Bed and Reese Slider. Go to Leland web site and check out my pin. If you have a pin like mine you should be ok. I have no problem turning going forward with my setup and still have about 6 inches clearance turning until RV wheels just start to bind. You should not really go that far (just testing). Going backwards is generally when the slider will come into play but have not had to use it yet. Glad that I have it. Another thing to look for is the slant of the RV front as it comes to the side. My unit's sides are recessed (looking from the side) about 3 inches behind the pin. My RV is 8 feet wide.

Here are a couple of related links HERE and HERE
I've never had a problem yet with my set-up. ;D The pin box on the Keystone Cougar is the one it came from the factory with and I do have my non-sliding hitch adjusted to where the kingpin is just a tad behind the axle instead of in front of it, but it pulls like a dream. ;D

Rattlin: Going out Thursday-Saturday - and using the wife's perty truck to pull the Cougar. The hitch I had installed last week is nearly an inch aft too. Can't wait to try out the exhaust brake with the camper in tow!
